what are the landmarks of the posterior triangle?
A
superior limit of the neck -
- lower border of the mandible
- left and right halves of mandible join at the mental symphysis
- body of the mandible
- massenter muscle
- facial artery
- mastoid process of the skull
- superior nuchal line and external occipital proturbance
inferior limit of neck
- in front: jugular/suprasternal notch, sternoclavicular joint, clavical
- posteriorly=Cv7
sternocleidomastoid muscle separates anterior from posterior triangles
