Summary
We are searching for an Accounts Payable Manager with strong leadership skills and expertise to join our financial services team. The successful candidate will bring the necessary skill sets to manage the complete accounts payable process for a mid-sized, high growth company. This individual must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing leadership and direction to our accounts payable team. Candidates should have at least five years of experience leading an AP Team in various accounts payable functions and also have a working knowledge of general ledger accounting. Candidates must have experience in people management.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department including (but not limited to):
o Accounts Payable Monthly & Year-End closing processes
o EOY 1099 tracking and processing
o Working knowledge of general ledger accounting
o Vendor maintenance and reconciliations
Establish and enforce proper accounts payable methods, policies and principles.
Assign projects to direct staff and ensure compliance and accuracy
Qualifications
Five (5) years proven working experience as Accounts Payable Manager
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices
Ability to direct supervise / manage subordinates
Advanced computer skills including, but not limited to; MS Office, Accounting Software & Databases
Ability to analyze large amounts of data
High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred education requirement - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
