This position is responsible for support in several accounting functions. Under the direction of the controller, the accounting clerk will update and maintain financial records and our accounting databases. This person will continually focus on sharpening their skills.
Essential Job Functions
· Perform routine clerical accounting duties within the finance department, while adhering to established accounting standards.
· Be a resource for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
· Assist in audits.
· Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems.
· Secures financial information by completing database backups, keeping information confidential.
· Work with colleagues professionally, in other departments to achieve production, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
· Post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and total accounts to ledgers and databases.
· Match, batch, and code vendor invoices.
· Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly and accurately.
· Follow company process standards, procedures and company policies including PPE use and 5S.
· All other duties as assigned.

o Attendance - Reports to work as scheduled. Follows established procedures for breaks. Notifies supervisor in advance of scheduling changes.

Educational and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 – 2 years of clerical accounting experience
Natural proficiency with math
Knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Ability and willingness to perform/comply with following:
Willing and able to work outside in manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
o Willing to work alone a high percentage of the time.
o Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
o Willing to work in a manufacturing environment with dust, fumes, oils and where noise levels can be high.
o Ability to lift fifty pounds and handle physical workload.
