What is the FPTP voting system
-voters cast their vote for a candidate of their choice, the candidate with the most votes wins.
-PLURALITY voting method, primarily used un systems that use single-member electoral divisions. (constituencies or wards)

What is a general election?
An election for a new government, takes place at least every five years.
what is an Electorate?
all those registered to vote
what is Proportional representation?
An electoral system in which the number of seats a party wins is roughly proportional to it’s national share of votes.

5)-candidates try to gain votes through interviews, public speaking at hustings and work for their party

local party members vote for the candidate they want to represent their constituency,

7)-party + candidate try to attract voters through leaflets, public meetings and canvassing
8)-day of election, MPs are elected using the FPTP (successful candidate must get at least 1 more vote than rival)
