what are some sources of international and european law?

what is criminal law?
laws to stop criminal behaviour with punishments to follow them
what is legitimacy by consent?
our MPs given permission to these laws being passed
what is the presumption of innocence?
innocent until proven guilty
what is judicial neutrality?
an idea of equality where people are treated free of bias in the court
what is civil law?
govern and disputes between individuals (an example is family/divorce)
what is Legal aid?
it is funds which enable poorer people to have access to the legal system e.g a solicitor
