What are the 3 branches of government
Executive, judiciary and legislation
What is the executive branch of government
cabinet draw up policy to action, the people who execute laws being made (govern country) e.g government, prime minister and ministers
What is the legislation branch of government
Passing + debating, then writing up new laws e.g HOL, HOC members of parliament
What is the judiciary branch of government
Judges who judge, scrutinise and hold government to account e.g uk courts and laws.
What parts of UK government are elctorate
-Elected legislature : HOC
-Executive : HM government (Prime minister and their selected ministers)
What parts of UK government are unelected
-Appointed Legislature: HOL
-The Crown: monarch
-Judiciary: Uk courts of law
