what is statue law?
government
what is royal conventions?
royal traditions
what is the british constitution?
the laws and conventions (rules) which set out how the country should be run
what is a uncodified constitution?
where the rules are written in different places e.g BRITAIN
what is a codified constitution?
a document of all the rules in one place, e.g AMERICA
why are some constitutions codified and uncodified?
codified constitutions are typically a result of revolution, due to britain’s long history and lack of impactful civil war, we have an uncodified constitution
what is devolution?
power given from parliament to other parts of the uk
what is a referenda?
a vote where the electorate get to vote on a single direct question (typically yes or no)
