What is the Stomata?
The stomata are little pockets that can open or close and are found in the lower surface of the leaves that allows carbon dioxide to enter for photosynthesis
What is Vascular Tissue?
Vascular tissue is what circulates resources throughout the plant; It has a Xylem, which only moves resources, specifically dissolved minerals and water it gains from the roots, up, or Phloem, which can move water or hormones either up or down.
What is Dermal Tissue?
Dermal tissue is the outer layer of plants and serves many functions, such as keeping out foreign objects or organisms.
What is Ground Tissue?
Ground Tissue is in between Dermal and Vascular tissue and can serve many roles, such as storage for sugar in the roots, or photosynthesis in leaves.
What are Meristematic Stem Cells?
Meristematic Stem Cells are the early cells of plants that can differentiate into any of the tissues in plants, similarly to Embryonic Stem Cells in animals.
What are Thylakoids?
Thylakoids are inside Chlorophyll and act as solar collectors to get solar energy.
What is Mesophyll?
Mesophyll is a type of ground tissue inside a leaf that contains Chloroplasts
