Q

What is the effect of Water Vapor

A

Water Vapor is a greenhouse gas that is formed by the heating of water (Thermal Expansion). Water vapor creates a feedback loop with itself, through heating up the Earth surface, which causing thermal expansion, which creates water vapor to trap heat and heat the Earths surface.

Q

How is Methane produced and what are its effects?

A

Methane is produced by organisms breaking down vegetation in an oxygen-free environment, such as in rice farms where the rice is flooded, or landfills where no oxygen can enter. Methane absorbed 25x more heat than Carbon Dioxide.

Q

How are Halocarbons produced?

A

Halocarbons are Anthropogenic gases and are man-made. An example of a Halocarbon is Chlorofluorocarbons, which come from products such as aerosol. Halocarbons absorb thousands of times more heat than Carbon Dioxide.
