Naproxin- Indications
Less CV activity than other NSAIDs
Naproxin- MOA
COX inhibitor- reduces prostaglandin & thromboxane
Naproxin- AE
GI bleeding, ulcer, dyspepsia
Naproxin- Dosing
250-500 mg q 12h for antiinflammation. Don’t exceed 1250 mg/day
Aspirin- Indication
Original NSAID, more commonly used for CV now
Aspirin- MOA
Anti platelet (irreversible binding to platelets), COX inhibitor, antipyretic.
Aspirin- AE
Reyes syndrome, GI bleeds, rashes, toxicity
Celebrex- Indications
Patients at high risk for GI bleeds, NSAID intolerance,
Celebrex- MOA
Selective COX 2 inhibitor
Celebrex- AE
CV & GI side effects, anemia
Ibuprofen- Indications
Pain & inflammation
Ibuprofen- MOA
COX inhibitor

Bursitis, OA, tendonitis
