Common in children & adolescents, secondary to other sarcomas in adults. Metaphysis of long bones- femur, tibia & humerus

Pain and swelling. Dilated veins, mass over site, pathologic fractures

X-ray & biopsy of leading edge
Osteogenic sarcoma- Tx
Methotrexate, resection of tumor
Chondrosarcoma- Eti
30-60 yo. Men, pelvis & femur most common- flat bones.
Chondrosarcoma- Sx
Local minimal pain x years, absence of osteoid formation
Chondrosarcoma- Dc

Ewing Sarcoma- Eti
Adolescence, diaphysial region or long bones, aggressive systemic disease
Ewing Sarcoma- Sx
Pain, tenderness, fever & leukocytosis large soft tissue mass,

Agressive systemic chemotherapy, surg resection
Giant cell tumor- Eti
Benign, agressive tumor. Females 20-40 , knee, verterbra, radius & sacrum
Giant cell tumor- Tx
Surg: Cortical widening, curettage, bone grafts
Giant cell tumor- Sx
Pain, swelling, joint movement limited
Enchondroma- Eti
