respiratory depression due to known or suspected opioid toxicity

What is nitroglycerin used for?
chest pains or suspected pulmonary edema
What are the contraindications of Nitroglycerin?
-hypotension with systolic lower than 90
-known right ventricular infarction
-use of viagra, ciallis, or levitra
-increased head pressure
-sensitivity to nitro
What is the does of nitroglycerin?
age 17+ - 0.4mg every 5 mins
What is ibuprofen/advil/motrin used for?
fever, mild/moderate pain, inflammation
what are the contraindications for advil?
-true allergy
-advil induced asthma
-pregnancy
-active bleeding
-renal failure
-surgery in 4 hours
What is the proper dose of advil for a child 3months - 12 years of age?
10mg/kg
every 6 hours
not exceeding 400mgs
what is the proper dose of advil for 12years plus?
400-800 mg every 6 hours
What is Salbutamol/ventolin used for?
acute know asthma, COPD, wheezing/respiratory distress, acute anaphylaxis
What is the proper dose of salbutamol?
Mild case - 2/4
Moderate/Severe case - 4/8
Anaphylaxis-8
Repeat as required, no maximum
