What are the Signs and Symptoms of Internal Bleeding?
A
Injury to surface of body, bruising/swelling/tenderness, painful/swelling/deformed extremities, bleeding from mouth/rectum/vagina, TRD to ABD, vomiting coffee grounds/bright red, dark/tarry/bright red vomit, S+S of shock.

When to Suspect Internal Bleeds?
A
Major Falls, Motor Vehicle accident, Auto/Pedestrian collision, Blast Injuries, Gunshot, Stabs, Impaled Object.

Care for Internal Bleeds?
A
- Assess ABC’s, notify ALS
- Consider Oxygen
- External Bleed Care
- Provide 02 if suspected Shock
- Splint/Tourniquet if suspected IB in extremity.
- Preserve Body Temp
- Transport
