Pervasive distrust and suspiciousness; projection is the major defense mechanism
Paranoid
Voluntary social withdrawal, limited emotional expression, content with social isolation
SchizoiD (d = distant)
Eccentric appearance, odd beliefs or magical thinking, interpersonal awkwardnesss
SchizoTypal (T for magical Thinking)
Dramatic, emotional, or erratic - Wild
Cluster B personality disorders
Disregard for and violation of rights of others, criminality, impulsivity; >18y/o with Hx of Conduct disorder before 15y/o
Antisocial
Unstable mood and interpersonal relationships, impulsiveness, self-mutilation, boredom, sense of eptiness; splitting is a major defense mechanism
Borderline
Excessive emotionality and excitability, attention seeking, sexually provocative, overly concerned with appearance
Histrionic
Grandiosity, sense of entitlement; lacks empathy and requires excessive admiration; demands the best and rxts to criticism with rage
Narcissistic
Types of Cluster B personality disorders
Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic, Narcissistic
Anxious or fearful; genetic association with anxiety disorders - Worried
Cluster C personality disorder
