what is personality
A
a sum total of an individuals psychological characteristics which make him or her unique.

what are traits
A
they are innate characteristics, and are though to be relatively stable. they are highly consistent attributes that exert a widely generalised casual effect on behaviour.

A
that is does not believe, that the situation or environment has any bearing on a persons behaviour.

A
- a theory that suggest that behaviour is learned form significant other by socialisation.

A
a theory, which combines trait and social learning to predict behaviour in a specific situation.

A
- a combination of trait and social learning theory
- Psychological core (trait)
- Typical responses (how you respond based on your psychological core)
- Role – related behaviour (how one will react when faced with a situation that may require a different side of their personality e.g. defending a family member. – Considers the environment (social learning theory)
- Genetically inherited traits are triggered by the environment.
