metal
What makes He, Ne and Ar different from the rest of elements
They all have completely filled valence shells. Thus they are stable, unreactive and called Noble gases
What is a metal?
An element that has 1,2,3 valence electrons except hydrogen and helium
What is a non-metal?
A non-metal has 4+ valence electrons
What are metalloids?
Some elements are referred to as semi metals or metalloids which show the properties in-between metals and non-metals
Some metalloids are- Boron and Silicon
