Perceptual Errors Flashcards
Autokinesis
When stearing an object or light whitout any orientation it might be looking like its moving
Sloping terrain
Flicker vertigo/stroboscopic effect
Flickering of the light
Coriolis illusion
When two semi circular canals are over stimulated ,(opposite sensations) .
The most dangerous of illusion
Vertigo an illusion of motion.
Vestibular Vertigo can be also related from ear infection
Kinaesthetic
Propriorecpters/mechanoreceptors can tell how stretch or bend a part of the body is without seing it,just only sensing it
You fell higher in the upsloping terrain
And you feel lower in downslope terrain
~Wider /shortrunaway than what u used to:
Makes you feel you are lower
~narrow/long runway: makes you feel higher than what you are really
Black hole
Approaching over water on where featureless terrain, makes feel you brighter and closer
~brighter runway lightning: perception of being too close (too steep) ,unintended action push, result landing short and hard
~low intensity runway: perception further away (to shallow),unintended action pull, result landing long and overrun
~light rain, fog, mist, smoke dust: perception being too high, unintended action push over, result land short and hard
~heavy rain: perception being too close, unintention action push over, result land short and hard
~flying in haze: PERCEPTION BEING further away (too shallow),unintended action pull up ,result land long overrun
