Decompression Flashcards
1 Cutaneous (skin ) Creeps 2 arthopathy (joint) bends
Bends»stinging pain,in the joints
Skin»tingling ,prickling and itching of the skin
Chokes»chest pain ,gas bubble in the alveoila
neurological»double vision, impaired vision ,impaired tactile ,muscle weakness
100% oxg
Keep patient warm
Submit patient to hyperbaric treatment ,if necessary
Do not rub affected parts
Radial acceleration(centripetal)»_space;a change of direction without change in speed
Linear accelration»change in speed wihtuout change in direction ,such as in increase in thrust
Angular acceleration»when both speed and direction are changed
Angular acceleration»occurs when both speed and direction are changed ,as in a spin
1g»accumultae in the lower body
2g to 5g»apparent increase in body weight, internal organs and facial area diplaced downwards
8 to 9 g loss of sensory
Do not fly withn 12hours of swimming with compressed air
Avoid flying 24hours if a depth of 30ft has been exceeded
Diving to 30ft exposes body to a pressure drop five times higher than a rapid decompression from 7000ft to 30000ft
Cabin pressure change restricted:
To 500ft/min climbing
To 300ft/min descending
~short term accelertion»less than about one second
~long term acceleration»more than one second
If an Instant rapid decompression occurs ,avoid any physical activity during next 24h after the flight
G force axis
Gz axis is the vertical
Gy axis is the latertal
Gx is the longitudinal axis
