Special considerations for meningococcal vaccination MCV4
Children with HIV > 2yrs
Children 2-10yrs with terminal complement deficiency, asplenia, traveling to prevalent regions
3 yrs after receiving MPSV4
Exposure to measles for not immunized
If within 72 hrs give vaccine as young as 6 months
If after 72 hrs but less than 6 days give measles immunoglobulin
Contraindications to MMR
Severe allergic reaction to vaccine component neomycin or gelatin
Pregnancy
Severely immunocompromised (chemotherapy, aids)
Mmrv is contraindicated in kids with hiv
