Break The Lines
To pass the ball through the defensive lines of the opposition.
Play A One-Two
A quick passing move where one player passes the ball to a teammate and immediately runs to receive the ball back. (Also known as a “wall pass” or “give-and-go”) .
Play A Long-Ball
To kick the ball over a long distance, typically from the defense or midfield toward the attack.
Play A Through-Ball
To pass the ball into space ahead of a teammate, usually near the opponent’s goal, so they can run onto it and try to score or create a chance.
Switch Play
To quickly pass the ball from one side of the field to the other.
Lay It Off
To make a one-touch pass to a teammate, usually to set them up for a better opportunity or to keep the ball moving quickly.
