Cut It Back
To pass the ball from the byline (near the goal line) back toward the center of the field, usually to a teammate in a better position to shoot or create a chance.
Play An Inswinger
To cross the ball into the box where the ball curves inward toward the goal.
Play To The Far Post
To cross the ball toward the opposite side of the goal, aiming for the far post from the crosser’s position.
Play It Across The Face Of Goal
To pass or cross the ball along the goal line, usually just in front of the goal, where teammates can attempt to score
Play An Outswinger
To cross the ball into the box with a curve that moves away from the goal.
Play To The Near Post
To cross the ball toward the goalpost closest to the crosser’s position.
