Double Up On (Someone)
To have two players work together to attack, or defend against, an opposing player.
Link Up Play
To connect with teammates through passing, movement, and positioning, in order to build an attack and advance the ball forward. Most commonly connecting defense with attack.
Hover Around (Somewhere)
To move or position yourself in and out of an area, often staying close to the ball or key moments, ready to make a play or provide support when needed.
Roam
To move freely and unpredictably across the field, often without staying in a fixed position.
Make A Counter-Movement
To move in one direction and then quickly change direction, usually to deceive an opponent and create space or gain an advantage.
Lose A Marker
To evade or shake off the player who is defending against you.
