Describe the process of making paper
trees are cut down
the bark is stripped off
wood is cut into small bits by a chipper
the bits of wood are heated with chemicals to turn them into a pulp
this pulp is washed and water is squeezed out over rollers
the paper is dried and cut to size

it is high quality, with a textured surface, it is good for sketching with pencils and painting with watercolours

it is strong, thin and translucent. It is used for general design work especially sketching design ideas.
Describe what solid white board is like
It has a high quality bleached surface which is ideal for printing. It is used for packaging and book covers
Describe corrugated boat
used in packaging. Made up of an inner fluted core sandwiched between two outer layers. It is strong, light weight and offers excellent protection for goods inside.

grams per square meter, measurement of weight of paper and card
