Manufactured Boards Flashcards
Explain everything you know about plywood
it is made from lots of layers
it is popular with building and construction
the layers or ply are laid up with the grain running at 90 degrees to each other giving it strength
it can be bent to make it useful for curved furniture
the outer layers can be finished with a nice veneer to improve its aesthetics
Explain everything you know about blockboard
it isnt as strong as plywood but it is a cheap substitute when you need a thicker board
