Ibuprofen

A
  • Given to children from 3 months liquid form
  • Up to 400mg (two 200mg) up to 3 times a day no frequent than 4 hours
  • No more than 1200mg every 24hr
  • Asthma and stomach ulcer worsen asthma symptoms by causing the airways to narrow

  • Only suitable for over 16s associated with Reye’s syndrome
  • Warnings for people with asthma, stomach ulcers and take anticoagulants
