A
- Warmth when rubbed which distracts the brain
- Deep heat rub

- Helps dialate the blood vessels which stimulate blood circulation
- Heat should not be applied until 72 hrs after injury

- Best used in the fist 48-72 hrs after an injury
- Methanol causes cold sensation widen blood vessels on the surface of the skin
- Deep freeze cold spray

- Topical NSAID’s are not normally recommended for childeren under 12
