Treatment options

Fever

A
  • Child dose of ibuprophen or paracetamol e.g. neurophen child or calpol
  • Paracetamol from 2 months old and ibuprophen from 3 months old
  • Dose of paracetamol recommended after MenB vaccine
  • Encourage the child to drink fluids
  • Check for signs of dehydration (dry mouth and sunken eyes
