ocular antihistamine for allergic conjunctivitis
blocks H1 receptor sites
Ketorolac/Acular
ocular NSAID for swelling
Polysporin opthalmic
antibiotic for conjunctivitis, styes, etc
Vidarabine/ Ara-A
antiviral for HSV
inhibits viral DNA
ineffective against ocular zoster because the lesions are deeper
Timolol/Timoptic
Ocular B antagonist for glaucoma
blocks ocular epi –> reduces aq humor production
Latanoprost/ Xalatan
Prostaglandin receptor antagonist that lets to increased uvescleral outflow–> reduces pressure
