Analgesia, anti-diarrhoea, antitussive (cough suppression), dyspnoea, anaesthetic and palliation

A
Synthetic opioid agonist. Inhibits adenylyl cyclase and cAMP signalling.

Constipation, drowsiness, dysphoria, euphoria, flushing, headache
