What are the indications of Dapagliflozin?
Add on therapy to type 2 diabetes mellitus. HFrEF.
What is the mechanism of action of Dapagliflozin?
Decreases glucose reabsorption from tubular filtrate. Increases urinary glucose excretion. Competitive reversible inhibition of SGLT-2 in PCT.
What are the adverse effects of Dapagliflozin?
UTI, thirst, polyuria and pancreatitis
What are the drug-drug interactions of Dapagliflozin?
Antihypertensive and other hypoglycaemic agents

Incretin mimetic
What are the indications for Semaglutide?
TIIDM + weight loss
Mechanism of action of Semaglutide
Increase glucose dependent synthesis of insulin secretion.
GLP-1 receptor agonist
Because of how they are made they are resistant to DPP-4
What are the adverse effects of Semaglutide?
GI upset, decreased appetite with weight loss
