Adverse effects of Indapamide

A

Hyperuricaemia, Hyperglycaemia, ED, increase in LDL, increase in triglycerides, Hypercalcaemia (favors sodium, calcium channel in the collecting duct). Hypokalaemia (enhanced loss at the collecting duct because more sodium is taken up here)

Decreasing testosterone production
Increasing peripheral conversion of testosterone to oestradiol
Displacing estradiol from sex hormon-binding globulin (meaning it is more available in the body, free form, not bound to a protein)
