Change management
It is a formal approach by an organisation to lead a change in the way a business or project is run e.g. changing budgets or deadlines
Advantages of Change management
Reduces chances of things going wrong
-Allow changes to be approved and discussed when it happens
-Creates a clear log of changes and improvements that are to be made
Disadvantages of change management
-Can make the process of change more complicated
-Can be hard to implement successfully
-To work effectively, everyone needs to follow the process

Companies must change to stay up to date with the times and technology. There are factors that force a business to change e.g. new legislation and competitors in a market and economic and social changes

Companies must change if the needs and focus of the organisation is changing over time e.g. new equipment (faster fibre optic cables), Customer interaction (communicating through social media), Workplace shifts (Accessing work and services from home)
