It ensures consistency and If all employees follow the SOP carefully, there should be no errors.

Very time consuming to create and must be periodically reviewed and updated

Help desk software is used to provide real time support to a user from a trained member of staff to overcome a technical problem.

Customers can keep track of their issues being dealt with. Als all tickets are archived so if the same problem happens on the same machine, previous solutions can be used
Help desk weaknesses
Very expensive to set up and a technician might not be available 24/7
