ODP-1 Flashcards
How often does ODP-1 require the RO and CO must perform a thorough evaluation (Control Board walk down)?
Conducted at a minimum every two hours.
What alarms cannot be left in fast flash ?
Possible Inadvertent Boron Dilution (BDAS)
CEA Position Out-of-Limits (PDIL)
Containment Sumps Excess Leakage (RCS Leakage Detection)
Per ODP-1, on which of the main control boards will ALL manipulations be peer-checked?
RMN-B01
Which of the following activities does not require a peer check per ODP-1?
A. Lowering load on the main turbine
B. Borating 1000 gallons during Mode 3
C. Paralleling the ‘A’ DG with offsite power through PBA-S03 during Mode 5
D. Transferring NAN-S01 from the Unit Aux Transformer to NAN-S03 in preparation for plant shutdown
The answer used to be B, but page 33 of ODP-1 specifically calls out borating/diluting as needing Peer Checks. - Changed by Nick Hart
Which of the following two-handed operations is permitted by ODP-1?
A. Override and open primary sample isolation valves
B. Throttling of LPSI injection valves
C. Operation of SBCV permissives
D. Isolation of RCP Seal Bleed-off
D
Who’s permission is required to perform a two handed operation not required by plant design or outlined in ODP-1?
Operations Director
What evolutions require plant announcements?
Operation of any breaker >480V
Changing plant Modes
Pump starts during normal operations
When is a control room brief required?
Pending reactivity manipulations As requested by team members High activity in the control room After discovery of an abnormal condition in the control room AOP/EOP implementation and transitions Change in strategy or priority Following plant transients
What Operations Are Allowed To Be Performed Skill of The Craft (No Procedure In Hand)?
HVAC Temp Controls CEDMCS Mode And CEA Selector Switches Blowdown Stack M/U Draining The SOVP Draining The Main Gen H2/Liquid Detectors Pressurizer Heater Operations RPCB Sub Group Selection Check Main Gen MVAR Adj (As Directed By ECC) Making Up To DG Jacket Water Surge Tank Level Adjustments (CR permission) Resetting Alarms (CR permission)
What things are considered when considering an operation for skill of the craft?
No existing procedure
Low complexity such that we would not consider writing a procedure
Low risk, event not likely without written guidance
Operator is capable of success
No plant status change
Describe Principles For Clear Communication
Concise Noun Names Used Accepted Terminology Clear/Unambiguous Phonetic Alphabet Used For Channels/Trains Identify Sender/Receiver Component And Action Single Instruction! Needed Precautions Be careful when communicating cross-department (Engineers speak their own version of English) Use Three Legged Communications!
Who can communicate to the CR Staff?
SM/CRS Only, guests and advisors may not, guest and advisors should communicate only to the SM/CRS. If needed the SM will communicate to the CRS. This includes during an outage all OCC and Ops 4th Floor communications go through the SM.
List required on-shift CR meetings.
