- An activity that has meaning and purpose in a persons life
- Activity that constitutes the role of a person
- Usually a functional goal
- Tasks can be used in treatment
- Ex- bed making, dressing, appyling for a job
Purposeful Activity and/or
Occupation as a Means
- Any activity that is goal driven
- Activity may be meaningless
outside context of treatment
session - Used for skill development
- Justify selection on documentation
- Ex-ring tree, sorting colors,
fastener board

* Be as repetitive as required to bring about the therapeutic benefit
