A
  • Calculate accurate BMI at booking
  • Promote balanced diet and light exercise
  • Appropriate referral
  • Explain risks of raised BMI
  • Advice to avoid dehydration during labour and keep as mobile as possible
  • Promote breastfeeding as it helps to mobilise fat stores
  • Consider thromoprophylaxsis
