The climate is mostly Mediterranean, benefits from western marine air currents. It’s location, coupled with elevation, create significant diurnal temperature swings. The frequent winds and breezes help mitigate humidity and reduce risk of fungal disease. CLimate is mild and dry, lack of summer rainfall promotes a beneficial vegetative slowdown that allows the vines to focus on the ripening process.
What are the aging requirements for Brunello?
Brunello is the longest required in Italy. Release fifth year with two in oak, and for riserva released sixth year with two in oak.
