ABCDE vulnerability model
- Appearance - unusual, ill, injured, anxious
- Behaviour - excitable, irrational
- Capacity and communication - unusual, slurred, slow, fast, body language, do they understand
- Danger - to themselves or another
- Environment - time of day, can they get home
Examples of non-crime incidents
Shop disputes (faulty returns), illness in street, parking disputes, neighbour disputes, poor service (restaurant, entertainment), landlord/tenant disputes, ownership disputes
Bailiff and Court officers
Enforce court orders
Legally authorised to collect debt
Debt Collectors
- No authority and not acting on behalf of court
- No powers and no right to enter property
What is trespassing?
Unlawful ingress of a person onto another’s property
Those lawfully there can become trespassers if invitation is withdraw
Not a criminal offence unless aggravated e.g. with a firearm
How to deal with trespassers
Occupier can remove them and use reasonable force to do so
we do not, just assist and make sure everything is lawful
