Tell me about yourself
Im a Network Administrator with 5 years of experience.
*most of my experience is with configuring upgrading 9300 switches including implementing 802.1x and port security
*My goal for this position is to apply my experience and to also expand my knowledge of networking
Last employment
I was terminated because I consoled into the wrong switch which caused a security violation. It was a mistake on my part. It was completely unintentional.
As a result of an error that occurred when I consoled into the wrong switch and it caused a security violation, I was terminated.
Strength/ weakness
1)I quickly adapt to new challenges and environments
2)Im a good problem solver.

1) I tend to take on too much instead of delegating. But I’ve learned that trusting people is more efficient.
2)I can be a perfectionist spending too much time with every little detail
Challenging situation
I had to replace a codec which is a decoder for audio visual equipment. I had never done it before I had to some research on it. I was able to resolve it pretty quickly.
Working under pressure
I once had to troubleshoot a VOIP phone in a room full of high ranking officials. Keeping calm was the key.
Team Work & Collaboration
Our network was taken over my another unit and we lost our permissions. We had to have many discussions
Mistake
One of my first jobs I had I was at a client site. I was in the data closet and bumped into a fiber connection and it took down the whole floor. I finally figured out what the issue was.
802.1x/port security
802.1x- uses a authentication server (Radius) to verify the device.
Port security- limits the amount of mac addresses on the port
ISE
authentication /authorization of networking devices. Uses 802.1x and Tacacs
upgrading IOS
make sure flash has enough resources.

Trunk - carries traffic to many Vlans

Last employment
I was let go due to an error which led a switch to go down for 30 minutes. There were systems alerted outside of the office. I took full responsibility for the incident which was a mistake that I made
