tell me about yourself
Ive been a contractor for the government for 5 years. My main responsibilities included configuring and maintaining cisco routers and switches.
My contract ended in December and now im looking for a role where I can bring my skills and also grow professionally.

Why do you want to work for Lumen
I worked for Lumen in 2015 I really enjoyed working there I liked the culture and the environment. It was a great place to work. Id love the chance to come back especially now that I have gained more experience and im ready for a new challenge
when did you have to troubleshoot a complex network issue
I was configuring 802.1x and a client had a connectivity issue. I looked at the interface and saw that 802.1x was misconfigured
Difficult customer
I was at a client site and in the data closet I bumped a fiber connection and the whole floor lost connectivity. There were alot of people upset. I acknowledged the issue and apologized I was able to trace the fiber back to the switch and connectivity was back again. I was calm and the customers were happy again
Difficult team member
My team moved to a new office which was very small. He wanted to keep the door closed and I wanted it open. He initially agreed to keep the door open. A few weeks went by and he would close the door and not tell me. I finally asked him if we could sit down and talk about it. I told him the reason i wanted the door closed is because I get claustrophobic. He changed his whole attitude and he agreed that we could keep it open.
team player
In my last role I worked on a team. I remember one instance where we were all doing an upgrade to all of the devices. When I was finished with my upgrades I went and checked in with my team to see if they needed help with configurations.
Why does your background and experience make you a good fit for this position
I have hands-on experience in with networking issues
Im comfortable with face paced environments
I think I would be a good fit for this role
