Tell me about yourself
I have been a contractor for the gov for the past 5 years as a Network Administrator. My team was responsible for configuring and maintaining all of the network devices in the building. My contract ended in December of 2024. I decided to that I wanted to get out of technology. I have a friend who is a security guard and he loves it. I think it would be a good fit for me.
I have a good work ethic, im a good problem solver and I pay attention to detail.

Difficult customer service
I was at a clients site and was in the data closet working on an issue and I bumped a fiber connection and the whole floor lost connection. There were several people that were upset. I acknowledged the issue and remained calm. I finally traced the issue back to the fiber connection and the connection restored. Everybody was very forgiving after I got the power back.
Complex issue to coworker
VLAN- its like an office building with different departments. Each department has their own access for security purposes
Difficult team member
A coworker and I disagreed on something and I finally asked if we could go for a walk and talk about it. We both did some compromising and we settled the issue.
Describe a time when you identified a problem and took action to fix it.
A client lost connectivity…..she had a laptop an VOIP phone and they are all connected to each other. But the cabling was all wrong.
Multiple responsibilities
Im pretty good at multi tasking. I can figure out what is the most important task and resolve each issue one at a time
Tell me about a time you had to learn something new
I had to change 50 laptops from using a static ip address to a dhcp ip address using DHCP reservations.
