DATA CLOSET
I once was in a data closet and I accidentally knocked the fiber connection loose and it took down the whole floor. One person was really upset and i remained calm i was honest about what happened I apologized to him I told him i wasnt leaving until the problem was resolved. I finally resolved the issue and he was satisfied and thanked me taking care of the situation so quickly
Explain something complex to a coworker
VLAN
They wanted to know how a Vlan worked. A VLAN is like an office building divided into different departments. Each department has their own access.
Tell me about a time where you had to adapt to a change at work
Another unit took over our permissions on all of our networking devices. Before the change happened we had both read and write permissions. At first I was really disappointed but then I turned it around and started learning a new skill. I try to see the positive in every situation
Difficult team member
We were disagreeing on something and I asked him if we could sit down and talk about it we did and the issue was resolved.
Describe where you identified a problem and took action to fix it
Some people had connectivity and some people didnt. It was early in the morning so there werent very many people in the building. I brought down the device and brought it back up again

I dealt with the most urgent issue first, stayed organized and communicated with users and manager with updates

I had to learn how to do DHCP reservations on 70 laptops

We had a network outage in the building. They were upset of course. I acknowledged the issue and listened to her concerns. I told her I would provide her with regular updates concerning the issue. The issue was resolved and she was fine
