Tell me about yourself
*I’m a network administrator with about 3 years’ experience.
*my last role was a contractor over at Quantico.
*Most of my experience is with configuring and upgrading 9300 switches, with experience in 802.1x and port security.
*My goal is to bring my experience to this role and also expanding my knowledge in networking.
Teamwork / Collaboration
In my last role, another unit took over network permissions, only giving us read only access. This was causing us issues. To resolve this, my team and I proposed granting us full access to certain critical areas. After multiple discussions and approvals from other departments, they finally agreed.
Challenging situation
I had to replace a codec which is a device that is associated with audio and visual (VTC’s). I had to figure out the way the connection pins worked and I had a deadline. I was able to figure it out and get it resolved.
Working under pressure
I had to troubleshoot a TACLANE in front of a room full of high-ranking officials. I was able to remain calm and got the issue resolved.
Mistake
My first networking jobs I was at a client site and I was in the data closet. I bumped a fiber connector. The whole floor lost connectivity.
Last employment
I was let go because of a security policy violation.
It was a mistake and it was also a learning experience.

I was let go due to a security policy violation.
I made a mistake and learned from that mistake.
