Tell me about yourself
*Im a Network administrator with 5 years of experience.
*Most of my experience is with upgrading /configuring 9300 switches as well as Implementing 802.1x and port security.
My goal for this role is to bring my experience and also to expand my networking knowledge
Last employment was
As a result of an error that occurred when I consoled into the wrong switch and it caused a security violation, I was terminated.
I was terminated due to an error when I consoled into the wrong switch. It was completely unintentional.
challenging situation
I was installing a codec which is a decoder for audio and visual equipment. It was a 2 person job which also had a deadline.
working under pressure
I had to troubleshoot a VOIP phone in front of a room full of high ranking officials
Teamwork Collaboration
In my previous role my team and I were responsible for upgrading all of the networking devices in the building. Some of the team members didnt have any experience with this, so I had to assist them as well as doing my own part. We had to make sure downtime was minimal.
Mistake
One of my first jobs I was at a client site I was in the data closet and I bumped a fiber connection and it brought down the whole floor. It was a great learning experience and I learned the importance of cable management
Strength / Weakness
Strength
Im pretty adaptable to new challenges and new enviornments
Im a good problem solver.
Weakness
I tend to take on too much and not delegate.
Im a perfectionist and can take too long in paying attention to details.
802.1x / Port security
Port security- limits the mac addresses on a port
802.1x - uses an authentication server (Radius) to verify devices

Upgrading IOS
making sure there are enough resources in flash. Copy the new file into flash

Trunk Access Port (VLAN)
trunk port carries traffic to many VLANs
access port carries traffic to a single vlan
