NEEDS ANALYSIS- FMS MOVEMENTS Flashcards
FMS
ensures athlete has proper movement patterns before programming to minimize injury risk
7 FMS movements
deep squat
inline lunge
hurdle step
shoulder mobility
ASLR
rotary stability
pushup/trunk stability
3 dynamic movements of FMS
inline lunge
hurdle step
overhead squat
what 3 things is FMS evaluated off of
mobility
stability
dynamic movement
how is FMS scored
scored 0-3; we count the lower score for bilateral tests but both sides must be symmetric to train
0: pain in movement, test is stopped + client is referred to a clinician
1: movement pattern is deficient + below required minimums
2: movement pattern is sufficient enough to load + train the pattern
3: movement pattern is near perfect
