Strong and of good length, without thickness, well crested and slightly full at base of throat with a graceful curve accentuating crest. Well-set into shoulders giving head a ‘lofty’ carriage.

Muscular; it appears to be rather short in males due to the thick ruff, of medium length in bitches. Throat without dewlap.
Finnish Spitz
Long, slightly arched, well developed without being coarse.
Foxhound
Of ample length, well arched, well developed without being coarse. Clean and tapering.
Harrier
Medium length, powerful, carrying the head high; a rich ruff on close fitting skin but no dewlap.
Norwegian Elkhound
Long, powerful, set smoothly into well laid back, clean shoulders. Slight dewlap permissible.
