Small, narrow and compact, with deep pads, well arched toes and short nails.
Basenji
Tight and firm. Well knuckled up and strongly padded. Not hare-footed. Nails short.
Beagle
Strong and well knuckled up.
Bloodhound
Forefeet: Roundish, like cat-feet. Toes tight and well arched. Pads elastic, always black, the sides covered with dense hair.
Hind feet: A little longer than the forefeet, otherwise similar.
Finnish Spitz
Round, tight and strong. Well padded. Nails strong. Dewclaws optional.
Foxhound
Neither too tight nor too round. Well padded with well arched toes. Nails strong. Dewclaws optional.
Harrier
Comparatively small, slightly oval; tightly closed, well arched toes with protective hair between thick pads; turning neither in nor out. Nails firm and strong.
Norwegian Elkhound
Large, round, well knuckled, thick padded, turning neither in nor out. Compact but capable of spreading; hind feet only slightly smaller than fore feet. Web must be in evidence.
