Seating Configurations

A

SUW - 3 - 2
ASW - 2 - 1
LOG/VERTREP - 5 - 3
SAR/MEDEVAC - 5 - 3

Litter installation prevents use of SO console seat and Instructor seat

Starboard rear seat may be installed if dipper removed. Center seat may be installed if dipper, sono launcher and RAST probe removed. Port rear seat may be installedif dipping sonar and sono launcher removed.

Dedicated SAR mission should consider removing LHEP

  • WARNING* If port rear seat or center rear seat occupied, SO console seat shall be unoccupied and secured full forward.
  • WARNING* Only Simula seat shall be installed in instructor seat location. Simula seat should be removed dduring flight not requiring its use–creates egress hazard. Instructor seat shall not be occupied if GAU-21 is to be placed inboard stow. Gun shall remain in firing position if seat occupied.
  • WARNING* Center rear seat shall be removed if conducting VERTREP.
