What is the procedure of Testing Myotomes?
You need to use Isometric mm resistance for myotomes
What is Dermatomes Testing used for?
Assesses the sensory portion of a specific nn root.
What is the procedure of testing Dermatome?
When assessing dermatomes you would use a Sharp object and or a Dull or soft object.
What do you expect to see when assessing dermatome?
Results are typically comparative between both sides of a client’s body.
What are the Grades for mm strength testing?
Grades 0-5
What is a Grade 0 mm strength?
No contractile activity can be felt in the gravity eliminated position.
What is a Grade 1 mm strength?
Client’s tendons / mms can be palpated, while client is performing the action, gravity eliminated.
What is a Grade 3 mm strength?
Client can tolerate no resistance but can perform the movement through full ROM.
What is a Grade 4 mm strength?
Client can hold position against gravity with moderate to strong procedure.
What is a Grade 5 mm strength?
Client can hold the possession against gravity and max resistance through full ROM.
