Action: flexes thigh and leg/knee and laterally rotates thigh/hip
Rectus femoris
Origin: Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine
Insertion: Tibial tuberosity via the patella
Action: extends leg/knee and flexes thigh/hip
Semitendinosus
Origin: Ischial Tuberosity
Insertion: proximal medial surface of tibia
Action: flexes leg/knee and extends the thigh/hip
